Carbon Standards

The Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) was established by the United Nations to help developing countries progress in a more sustainable way throughout promoting environmental investments by governments and companies from developed nations.

The Gold Standard (GS) is an independent methodology, to encourage verifiable high quality carbon offsets around the globe.  A  GS project must demonstrate that it contributes to local sustainable development with an open transparent process of participation from the local community. Gold Standard projects must include at least two official public consultations.

CO2IMPACT was one of the first 20 companies in the world to be registered with the Gold Standard as a Majority Portfolio Pledge Member.
