CO2 IMPACT Leads Capacity Building Workshop for Mining Sector
September 28th, 2010
CO2 IMPACT successfully completed our first workshop to help build capacity within the mining sector in British Columbia to identify and execute carbon offset projects. We were fortunate enough to be joined by the Climate Action Secretariat, the Pacific Carbon Trust, the Mining Association of B.C., and Stantec Engineering.
The workshop was attended by members of some of the largest mining companies in B.C. and Canada including Teck and Western Coal. To see a summary of the workshop we developed in partnership with Infomine, click here: http://www.edumine.com/pd/carbon/
A few images from the workshop are included below.

Cameron Stonestreet of the Pacific Carbon Trust discussing the potential for carbon offset sales through the PCT for projects originated in B.C.

CO2 IMPACT's very own Pedro Camanho summarizing the opportunities for coal mine methane capture.
